Established in 1999 through a generous bequest from long-time Carleton Memorial United Church members Jack and Kay Hempstock, this fund supports students pursuing Christian ministry, medicine, or science. Scholarships of up to $1,000 are awarded annually (non-renewable, but re-applications are welcome).

Eligibility: Applicants must be affiliated with Carleton Memorial United Church and either entering university for Christian ministry, entering university for medicine or science with financial need, or pursuing postgraduate study/research in Christian ministry, medicine, science, or disease control in developing countries.

Deadline: December 1, 2025

Application requires a form, transcript, and a 500-word essay.
