This week will be known for many of us as the week that David Bowie died. Sometimes called Ziggy Stardust, the androgynous, shape shifting music genius was an icon of an era. He did very good work, and showed us that expressing yourself in a genuine way is necessary. It is a good thing to express your difference, and to not be afraid. That is the legacy of David Bowie to me. We offer our prayers to his family, and to all those who were touched by him.

Life changes always. It is not likely that things stay the same. That seems to be our mantra these days. “The only thing that is constant is change!” So let us live the changes in our lives. This Saturday afternoon, you will have the chance to encounter a change in living space, and what you might call home. There is the workshop on retirement residences and a presentation on downsizing your “stuff”. The information is important, and is open to all those considering a move to a retirement residence from your home. Families are also invited. It is worth checking out – 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Morgan Hall at the church.

Blessings and peace to you.
