On this Canada Day, we pause to remember and give thanks for the land we call home, acknowledging the indigenous peoples who have been stewards of this land since time immemorial. We commit ourselves to the work of justice, healing, and reconciliation, envisioning a country where all individuals are free to be their best selves.

As we celebrate Canada’s anniversary, we strive to dismantle systemic injustices, address disparities, and advocate for equality. We honor the indigenous peoples’ resilience and learn from their rich heritage.

Today, we reaffirm our commitment to healing the wounds of the past, engaging in meaningful dialogue, and supporting initiatives that promote reconciliation. Together, we can create a future of harmony and understanding.

On this Canada Day, let us be proud of our Canadian identity—a diverse and inclusive nation that values multiculturalism and embraces individuals from all walks of life. May we cherish the values of justice, compassion, and unity that define us as Canadians.

As we reflect on our achievements and challenges, let our pride be a catalyst for continuous growth and improvement. Together, we can shape a country that we are proud to call home—one that embraces its diversity and celebrates the inherent worth and dignity of every individual.

We offer this prayer shared by the United Church of Canada:

Creating God,

As we mark the anniversary of the Confederation of Canada, we remember and give thanks to the people who have been stewards of this land since time immemorial and commit ourselves to the work of justice, healing, and reconciliation.

Together we dream about the country that we hope to become, a country where all are free to be their best selves.

Amen.

Happy Canada Day! 🍁🎉🇨🇦
